LidetDigital
Draft — pending legal review

This Privacy Policy describes, in plain language, what data the Lidet Digital Portal collects and how it's used today. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and should not be treated as finalized legal advice or a binding legal document until it has. We aim to comply in good faith with Ethiopia's Personal Data Protection Proclamation (No. 1321/2024), and this policy will be revised as that compliance work is completed.

Privacy Policy

What we collect

  • Account information: your name and email address when you register.
  • Usage and progress data: which lessons and quizzes you've completed, your scores, notes you save, and general activity timestamps used for streak tracking.
  • Payment reference information: when you submit a manual access request, we store the payment method, reference number, and any note you provide — we do not collect or store full card or bank account details, since payments are made directly to our bank/Telebirr accounts outside this app.

How we use it

We use this data to run your account, track and show your learning progress, review and approve access requests, and generally operate the Portal. We don't sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.

Where it's stored

Account and content data is stored and processed via Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Supabase's infrastructure is hosted outside Ethiopia. By using the Portal, you understand your data is processed on infrastructure located internationally.

Your rights

You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by emailing your Lidet Digital admin contact. We'll respond to reasonable requests as quickly as we can.

Changes

We may update this policy as the Portal evolves, including as part of our ongoing work toward full compliance with applicable Ethiopian data protection law.
